Every effort is made to build fast, modern, and effective websites. However, specific outcomes such as search engine rankings, traffic levels, or sales cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on many factors outside of web design, including competition, marketing, and industry conditions.
Project details, pricing, and timelines are agreed upon in writing before work begins, usually via email or a formal proposal. By approving a quote or proposal, you confirm that you have the authority to engage services on behalf of your business.
Client responsibilities: You are responsible for providing
accurate information, timely feedback, and any required content such as text,
images, or branding assets, unless otherwise agreed.
Revisions: Reasonable rounds of revisions are typically
included as outlined in your proposal. Additional changes outside the agreed
scope may be billed separately.
Your content: You are responsible for ensuring that any
content you provide (such as text, images, logos, or media) is owned by you
or properly licensed, and does not infringe on the rights of others.
Project work: Upon full payment, you are granted the right
to use the final website design and build for your business. Unless otherwise
agreed, Lochlan Smith Web Design may display the project in a portfolio or
case study, including screenshots and a link to your website.
Payment terms, deposit amounts, and due dates are outlined in your quote or proposal. Work may be paused if invoices are significantly overdue. Ownership of the final website and associated deliverables may remain with Lochlan Smith Web Design until payment is received in full.
Some projects may involve third-party services such as hosting providers, domain registrars, email services, plugins, or integrations. These services are subject to their own terms and conditions, and I am not responsible for changes, outages, or issues arising from those third parties.
Ongoing support, updates, and maintenance may be offered as part of a separate agreement or on an as-needed basis. Unless explicitly included, long-term maintenance is not automatically provided after launch.
Reasonable care is taken in all work, but Lochlan Smith Web Design is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or any services provided. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, business interruption, or data loss.
